How to use the SCSI hard disk that adds newly together
From;    Author:Stand originally
A simple method is below:
1.Cd /stand; . / Sysinstall
2.Choose Partition, it is good to go in to cut Sd1 cut Sd1 after (right now Partition Table had be notted write into) , enter Wizard Mode by W, key in Write again Quit updates Partition Table.
3.Will choose Label again, go in to had cut Sd1s1, enter Wizard Mode to use Write by W euqally, quit updates Disklabel.
4.Newfs /dev/rsd1s1e

Otherwise, take install load to come, new Partition is built in entering Partition option, like that after writes; to build new Slice in Label option again by "W"rite, write by "W"rite again.

This is not lineal method, but be it is the easiest to teach average person however. . . .

Will introduce how to add a hard disk newly with traditional method below (or a Partition) or revise the Partition that has existed or Label. Traditional of course method is not regular good with, but you should want to know.

0.No matter be below what operating system, breaking up hard disk is quite dangerous, unless you already do a familiar work with ease, had better practice otherwise first with an empty hard disk, lest finish is important data. Still have, so that calculate, prepare a computer please all sorts of data.

1.Read first please above all " hard dish breaks up policy " in order to realize the Slice idea with new FreeBSD. This new Slice idea began to enable in April 1995, be like 386BSD with traditional BSD (, netBSD, sunOS) has very big different, allow many BSD Partition to exist.

2.No matter you are to want to add hard dish of IDE or SCSI newly, or it is to just want to add a Partition newly, these ideas are same, above all the Device name of the hard dish that you should know to you want to be added newly, for example: IDE the 3rd Primary Partition - of the 2nd hard dish>Wd1s3
SCSI the 1st Primary Partition - of the 3rd hard dish>Sd2s1
It is with Sd0s2 under * (exemple, it is 100MB suppose)

3.Hang up hard dish above all, you can break up new Partition with the Pfdisk.exe of DOS, or it is the Fdisk.exe with DOS cuts a Primary Partition, reoccupy Pfdisk.exe changes Partition ID into 165 (10 carry) . Ending after jumps see Step-4.

* if the Fdisk that you think to use FreeBSD, in enter FreeBSD after to be built with the method of Step-4 first / Dev/sd0s2* , carry out Fdisk Sd0 to observe the hard dish of Sd0 breaks up a state again, following example ∶ (the SCSI Fireball that this is 1G, had cut a Primary
FreeBSD Partition)
